SUPPORT US
Berkeley High School has a robust athletic program supporting 1500+ student-athletes playing on 54 teams (freshman, JV, and varsity) across 29 boys & girls sports.
The Berkeley Athletic Fund (BAF) was formed in 1985 in response to budgetary cutbacks to the athletic department. As is often the case with public schools, there is a funding gap between what is provided by the district and what is actually needed to cover the cost of the athletic programs. BAF is made up of parents of athletes–current and alumni–and community members who share a special interest in supporting Berkeley High School’s sports program.
The capital (human and financial) that we raise, and expend each year improves the likelihood that our BHS athletic programs are well-organized, with proper coaching, resources, and facilities. We do this because we truly believe that accessible athletics programs are critical for our BHS students beyond the obvious physical and mental health benefits we are generally familiar with.
The funds we raise enable cross-team boosts such as coaching stipends, our athletic trainer, our strength & conditioning coach, equipment & uniforms, grants for team-specific needs like trips to nationals, etc.
The Berkeley Athletic Fund (BAF) is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit (Tax ID# 94-3006966) and ALL of your donation will go directly to support the teams governed by Berkeley High’s Athletic department.
