The Berkeley Athletic Fund helps support the Athlete Study Center at Berkeley High School.
Berkeley High School has over 1,400 student-athletes try out and/or participate throughout the school year. This group is a truly diverse representation of the entire student body at the high school.
As a unique population with unique stressors – team commitments on top of their ordinary school life – they need a targeted support system to help navigate their high school experience more successfully. Studies clearly show that being an athlete correlates directly with positive educational outcomes.
The Athlete Study Center helps student athletes develop a stronger academic identity, fostering more engagement in the classroom and in the school community.
