Berkeley Athletic Fund provides the nonprofit charitable status for Berkeley High Athletic teams to raise charitable donations and sponsorships. Each team has a designated fund with Berkeley Athletic Fund. BAF provide the back office bookkeeping and checkwriting to help coaches and volunteers work their magic with the team!

Each team must identify a Team Advocate. This person, usually a parent, is the liaison between the team and the BAF and should regularly attend BAF meetings. The Team Advocate should have an understanding of how our organization works and be the dedicated person on the team who ensures the appropriate guidelines are followed when you deposit money into your team account and when you spend money from your team account.

BAF and Sports Basement in Berkeley have a special arrangement that may meet your team’s needs, AND raise money for your team’s BAF Restricted Team Account! If you are your team’s Team Parent Representative, please contact BAF and we will help you with your team’s end-of-the-year team party.
